Lawpoint Online Service Enhancements

Lawpoint became part of Espreon Property Services in June 2006 and as part of the acquisition, Espreon Property Services committed to improving the standard of service clients receive.


By way of delivering on this commitment, the performance and reliability of the Lawpoint online system will soon be upgraded. The upgraded site will be designed to preserve the look and feel of the existing Lawpoint online service, while taking advantage of the stability and performance provided by Espreon’s technology.


The integration of Lawpoint and Espreon will also mean a new-look brochureware site, which will communicate the combined business’ range of services and capability.


You can expect to see these changes within the next four to six weeks.


The following is a summary of the changes affecting the settlement and search operational staff in your business.


Service Enhancements


Land Titles

1. NSW Land

­

  • Plans and Dealings will now available online via the reprints option as soon as they are delivered from the LPI (typically less than 10 minutes after the order has been placed). 
  •  The “Print All” button now works for multiple title orders.
  • A new interface to the OSR has been implemented to enable the payment of duties. In a few weeks we will provide more information via our website on this enhancement.

 

2. VIC Land

  • ­Title search image results will now be supported for return by browser.


3. Other State Land

  • ­You will be able to obtain a copy of your transaction summary reports after the initial order is placed.
  • All results will be available online in addition to current delivery options.
  • Costs will be calculated dynamically when selecting products. No need to use the separate Costs button.


Property Enquiries


The Lawpoint Property Enquiries System (PES) has been redesigned based on the system used by Espreon. The new PES system will provide the following additional features:

  • ­Support for both Standard and a Premium service: The Standard service will function similar to the current Lawpoint service, where Espreon places orders with Authorities on your behalf and search results are returned directly to you from the Authority. With the Premium service, Espreon will collect all returned certificates from the authorities and load these to the online system for your collection. Under the Premium Service, Espreon tracks each order and proactively chases authorities when results are not provided within designated timeframes.
  • A new ordering interface, requiring fewer screens and less data entry.
  • ­Turn around times and authority contact details will be available online.
  • ­Order status and tracking will be available online.
  • ­Searching of stored online certificates (where available) is provided by certificate.
  • Authority, Date, Client reference and matter name are supported across all prior orders.
  • Images of results held online for a 6 month period.


Settlements
­You will have the ability to check the availability of a timeslot online when booking.


REVS
­REVS will now be available online. This service was previously only available offline.


Charging Summaries
­You will be able to reproduce a charging summary for up to two months.



Phased-out Service Features


VT Style Interface

Support to VT style interface to online services will be withdrawn as the technology is no longer supported, or in wide use. All VT clients will be able to continue to access the information through the normal web interface.


Streaming Results
Support for ‘Streaming’ results will now be retrieved in PDF or RTF formats only.


View and Reprint Buttons
The intermediate “View Report” and associated Reprints buttons have been removed from the site. All reports that are available to be viewed are now available under the Reprints option.


PES Capped Pricing
The new PES will no longer support the capped fee structure and will instead support certificate and package pricing options.



Other Changes


Billing
All invoices will soon be produced from Espreon Property Services Pty Ltd (ABN 42 089 586 872).


Email Addresses
All emails relating to the use of the Lawpoint system will reference an espreon.com email address.


When you request a result to be delivered by email, the email will be sent from an espreon.com email account. Please ensure your email infrastructure allows these mail items to be delivered in the same manner as the existing mail.


Office Addresses
Please note that we have moved offices in Sydney and Brisbane. Our new office addresses are as follows:

  • ­Sydney: Skygarden Office Tower, Level 5, 77 Castlereagh Street Sydney NSW 2000
  • ­Brisbane: Level 5, 215 Adelaide Street, Brisbane QLD 4000



The above changes have been implemented to bring Lawpoint clients a better online service experience.
