Espreon Acquires Lawpoint

Espreon Property Services Pty Ltd (ABN 42 089 586 872) has acquired Lawpoint Pty Ltd from Thomson Legal and Regulatory. The sale was finalised on 9th June 2006.
Craig Kennedy, Managing Director of Espreon Limited, said of the acquisition “The combination of these two competitor businesses provides a significant increase in operational scale and management capacity. More importantly, it should also provide the capacity to deliver improved value and benefits to clients and shareholders alike.”
Mike Abel, existing Managing Director of Lawpoint, has accepted the role of CEO of Espreon Property Services and will look after the day-to-day running of the combined business.
On the announcement Mr Abel said “A large part of my new role will be to ensure Lawpoint and Espreon clients are not disrupted in any way as a result of the acquisition”.
Mr Abel went on to say “The flow, functionality and structure of both the Espreon and Lawpoint online searching businesses will remain the same. There will be no need for clients to be retrained as a result of the acquisition. The same applies to our manual property services.”
